About the Athena

Designed with precision and built for flight, the Athena from Discraft is your go-to fairway driver when consistency matters. With flight numbers Speed 7.0, Glide 5.0, Turn 0.0, and Fade 2.0, this fairway driver offers a flight pattern suited for intermediate and advanced players. This disc stays aloft with beautiful control, perfect for shaping long lines. Finishes with a confident fade—reliable into headwinds or for strategic placement. Great for forehands, backhands, or tricky lies where trust is everything.

The plastic: Z Metallic

Standard Z-Plastic: Renowned for its durability and grip.

How it flies now

Condition 8. Test-thrown. A few throws in the field, light scratches, no dings. The rim is untouched, so it flies like new and finishes on hyzer just as stamped. Athena is stable: new it flies straight with a clear fade at the end, seasoned it holds the straight part longer.

About used discs

A disc seasons as it gets thrown. The rim wears, the fade softens and the disc flies straighter than its flight numbers say. Premium plastic holds its shape for a long time, base plastic seasons in a few rounds, and an overstable disc takes it better than an understable one.
