The Latitude 64 Explorer is a control-oriented fairway driver designed to perform equally well in tight wooded lines and open fields. Its flight numbers of S7 / G5 / T0 / F2 mark it as a stable to slightly overstable fairway, with no real high-speed turn and a clean, predictable fade. Thrown with moderate power it tracks straight for the bulk of its flight before finishing with a controlled hook, making it an honest disc for tunnel shots and fairway placement. With more power it resists flipping and stays composed, while less power produces a stronger early fade and a hyzer-leaning landing. As the plastic wears in, the Explorer relaxes toward neutral and becomes a versatile straight-flyer that still holds enough stability for forehands and headwind shots. The rim depth and width are tuned for a clean release without demanding a tournament-level grip. Latitude 64 produces the Explorer in premium plastics such as Opto, Gold, Royal, Moonshine, and Frost, alongside baseline blends like Zero Hard, Zero Medium, Zero Soft, and Recycled.
Plast: Opto: Opto is Latitude 64's classic premium blend, a translucent, firm, and very durable plastic used across the full driver, fairway, midrange, and putter lineup. The surface is smooth and slightly slick when new, breaking in into a steady, confident feel that many players use as a baseline reference for premium plastic. Opto variants such as Opto Glimmer or Opto X share the same base polymer with cosmetic or stiffness tweaks. As a premium plastic, Opto holds its listed flight numbers far longer than baseline blends; baseline plastics in the same mold season faster, picking up deeper turn and softer, earlier fade within a few weeks of regular play.
