From the hand it tracks one of the straightest, most neutral midrange lines available, holding whatever angle is released before settling into a soft, predictable finish rather than a hard fade. The combination makes it a workhorse for tunnel shots, controlled hyzer-flips and flat straight lines at a wide range of arm speeds. As it seasons, the disc trends understable: the turn deepens, the fade softens and it gradually opens up turnover and roller potential while remaining controllable. Discraft premium plastics such as Z, Big Z, ESP and FLX hold the listed 5/4/-1/1 flight longest, while baseline plastics like Pro D and X season faster toward a more understable, flippier feel.

Plast: ESP: Discraft ESP is a premium opaque blend with a slightly soft, tacky surface and rich, often swirled coloration. It splits the difference between the harder Z line and the grippier Big Z, making it a versatile home for fairway drivers, midranges, and putters that benefit from a confident hand feel without sacrificing durability. ESP holds shape well through tree contact and gradually beats in to a more controllable flight rather than going badly out of true. Stamp work tends to look painterly on the swirled base. Premium plastics like ESP hold listed flight numbers far longer, while baseline plastics deepen turn and soften fade within weeks. Discraft Recycled uses reground Discraft plastic regrind, often labeled as Recycled ESP, giving each run unique color swirls. The recycled blend inherits the parent base's premium feel and durability profile. Because it is built on the same premium polymer, flight is driven by the underlying base plastic: Recycled does not make a mold more or less stable on its own, and it seasons (beats in) at the premium tier's pace, gaining a touch more turn over many rounds just like the parent plastic. On the second-hand market the eco angle and one-off swirls give it solid appeal, though it typically sells in line with or slightly under virgin ESP.
