Hex Proton Soft (8)

The Axiom Hex is a straight-stable midrange with flight numbers 5 / 5 / -1 / 1, built to be the mesmerizingly straight workhorse mid that fits in nearly any bag. Off a flat release it tracks dead straight with just enough high-speed turn for stronger arms to shape gentle understable lines, while the modest 1 fade keeps it from flipping over at the end. Lower-power throwers will find the Hex easy to turn, making it ideal for shaping woods lines and learning controlled distance. As it seasons the Hex trends from straight-stable toward understable, becoming a dependable hyzer-flip and turnover midrange without ever becoming truly flippy. In premium GYRO plastics like Neutron, Plasma, Cosmic Neutron, Eclipse Glow Neutron, Fission, or Proton the neutral profile holds longest, while baseline Electron Soft, Electron, and Electron Firm season in faster to a more understable line-shaper.

Plast: Proton Soft: Proton Soft is the more pliable version of Axiom's Proton blend, keeping the fully translucent look of standard Proton but with a softer, tackier feel in the hand. It is most often used on putting putters where players want a premium-tier plastic that grips on release and absorbs energy on chain hits to reduce spit-outs. The soft formulation will show wear and beat in slightly faster than standard Proton, but for putting work that tradeoff is generally welcome. Proton Soft tends to be priced in line with other premium putter plastics and is recognizable by its glossy, see-through surface. As a premium plastic, it holds the disc's listed flight numbers longer than baseline blends, though the softer chemistry seasons noticeably faster than firmer Proton.
