The Kastaplast Berg X is the more overstable sibling of the original Berg, designed to keep the same characteristic feel and short, controlled flight while standing up to far more power. With a 1/1/1/2 profile in Kastaplast's notation, it is a heavily overstable putt-and-approach disc with very low glide and a firm fade. Fresh, the Berg X resists turn no matter how hard it is thrown, making it a confidence pick for forehand approaches, headwind upshots, spike hyzers and tight scramble shots where any glide past the basket is unwelcome. As it beats in it eases slightly toward straighter overstable flight, but the strong finish remains intact for a very long time. In premium K1 or K1 Hard plastic the Berg X holds that hard, predictable line through countless rounds, while baseline K3 offers a softer, tackier feel for players who prefer a putter-style grip on their utility approach disc.

Plast: K1: K1 is Kastaplast's flagship premium blend, used across the brand's distance drivers and many fairways and putters. The plastic is translucent, fairly firm, and slightly grippy out of the box, designed for long-term flight retention and predictable behavior on full-power lines. It breaks in slowly and gracefully rather than going limp, which makes it well suited for shelf-stable bag staples players want to trust over many seasons. As a premium plastic, K1 holds its listed flight far longer than baseline blends; baseline plastics in the same mold season faster, picking up deeper turn and softer, earlier fade within a few weeks of regular play. Kastaplast First Run marks the inaugural production batch of a new mold, usually pressed in K1 with a unique stamp. The K1 base underneath behaves like any other premium run — it flies, grips and beats in exactly like standard K1, so a First Run disc seasons and turns over at the same slow, durable rate as later K1 production. The First Run badge is purely cosmetic and does not change the break-in curve. Collectors pay a premium for the badge, and First Runs are one of the more reliable value-holders on the Kastaplast second-hand market; mint, unthrown copies in particular command higher prices and hold them as the run sells out. A beaten First Run drops back toward ordinary K1 resale, since once it is worn the scarcity of the stamp matters more to collectors than to players.
