About the Rune

The Viking Discs Rune is a low-profile putter with a minimal bead and a slow, controllable feel that clicks the moment it leaves the hand. Flight numbers of 2 / 4 / 0 / 0 place it squarely in the stable, straight-flying category: it holds whatever line is thrown, resists wind better than its slow speed suggests, and finishes on a flat, predictable path that makes distance and angle easy to read. The small bead helps the flight stay consistent even after long use, so putts and short approaches keep the same shape over many rounds. As it breaks in, the Rune drifts gently toward a more understable, flippy character that suits touch lines and turnover approaches. ARMOR, Storm and Knight plastics from Viking Discs hold the listed flight longest, while Ground and Nordic baselines season faster toward a more understable feel.

The plastic: Storm

Viking Premium Plastic: Viking's premium plastic offers excellent durability and grip, making it a reliable choice for players who need a disc that can withstand the rigors of play while maintaining a consistent performance.

How it flies now

Condition 6. Seasoned. Thrown many rounds, scratches and minor rim dings, but in fully good shape. This is where it has settled: less fade, more glide, and on a flat release it goes straight where a new one would have hyzered out.

About used discs

A disc seasons as it gets thrown. The rim wears, the fade softens and the disc flies straighter than its flight numbers say. Premium plastic holds its shape for a long time, base plastic seasons in a few rounds, and an overstable disc takes it better than an understable one.
