The Discraft Drive is a distance driver with flight numbers 11/5/-1/2, a stable to slightly understable high-speed driver that rewards smooth power rather than maximum snap. Released flat at full arm speed it shows a small, controlled turn before the 2 fade brings it back for a reliable finish, producing a long shallow S-curve. At lower power it tends to fly straight with a gentle late fade, and on hyzer it flips up to flat and rides. As wear accumulates the -1 turn deepens and the 2 fade softens, taking the disc from stable toward understable and eventually flippy distance lines suitable for turnovers and easy anhyzers. Premium Discraft plastics such as Z, Big Z, ESP, FLX and Titanium hold the 11/5/-1/2 numbers longest. Pro D and X versions season faster, reaching the flippy stage in noticeably fewer rounds.
Plast: ESP: Discraft ESP is a premium opaque blend with a slightly soft, tacky surface and rich, often swirled coloration. It splits the difference between the harder Z line and the grippier Big Z, making it a versatile home for fairway drivers, midranges, and putters that benefit from a confident hand feel without sacrificing durability. ESP holds shape well through tree contact and gradually beats in to a more controllable flight rather than going badly out of true. Stamp work tends to look painterly on the swirled base. Premium plastics like ESP hold listed flight numbers far longer, while baseline plastics deepen turn and soften fade within weeks.
