Tern Star (6)

The Innova Tern is a fast, slightly understable distance driver (12/6/-2/2) designed for long shot-shaping throws that maximize glide. In the hands of a powerful player it can become one of the farthest-flying discs in the bag, riding the natural turn through the high-speed portion before settling into a controlled fade. Thrown flat at full power it carves a long, gentle right-turning line for a right-hand backhand release and finishes with a measured hook rather than a hard skip. The huge glide rewards smooth, full-extension throws and makes it a strong choice for big S-shapes and tailwind hyzer-flips. Note that Champion and Glow Champion runs fly closer to a more stable shape than the listed numbers. As the plastic seasons, the turn deepens and the fade softens, pushing the disc further into flippy and turnover territory. Innova premium plastics such as Star, Champion, GStar and Halo Star hold the listed flight longest, while baseline DX and Pro season faster.

Plast: Star: Star is Innova's flagship premium blend, combining the long-haul durability of Champion with grip closer to the Pro family. Star discs share the same flight characteristics as their Champion counterparts but feel slightly less firm in the hand, which suits players who want premium flight retention without the slick rim. The blend resists dome change and rim damage well over hundreds of throws, and many Star molds are available for custom hot stamping. As a premium plastic, Star holds its listed flight numbers far longer than baseline blends, which season faster within a few weeks of regular play into deeper turn and softer, earlier fade.
