Thunderbird Star (6)

The Innova Thunderbird is a stable, control-oriented fairway driver (9/5/0/2) that pairs the trusted stability of a TeeBird with the speed of a Valkyrie, producing predictable, accurate flights at higher arm speeds. It has often been described as a seasoned Firebird with less fade, and out of the hand it tracks a neutral high-speed line with strong glide before finishing with a measured, dependable fade for a right-hand backhand release. That shape gives it real shot-shaping range for advanced players while still feeling consistent and forgiving for less experienced throwers. It holds its line well in wind, making it a reliable long-range placement driver rather than a maximum-distance bomber. As the plastic seasons, the disc drifts toward a slight high-speed turn and a softer fade, easing into a straighter overall flight. Innova premium plastics such as Star, Champion, GStar and Halo Star hold the listed flight longest, while baseline DX and Pro season faster.

Plast: Star: Star is Innova's flagship premium blend, combining the long-haul durability of Champion with grip closer to the Pro family. Star discs share the same flight characteristics as their Champion counterparts but feel slightly less firm in the hand, which suits players who want premium flight retention without the slick rim. The blend resists dome change and rim damage well over hundreds of throws, and many Star molds are available for custom hot stamping. As a premium plastic, Star holds its listed flight numbers far longer than baseline blends, which season faster within a few weeks of regular play into deeper turn and softer, earlier fade.
