Valkyrie Star (6)

The Innova Valkyrie is an understable fairway driver built for turnover distance, with a flight rating of 9/4/-2/2 (S/G/T/F) and notable glide for its class. It is a classic tailwind and downhill driver: thrown flat with moderate power, it cruises with a gentle high-speed turn before resolving into a mild, predictable fade. Lighter weights extend the turn and reward newer arms with extra distance, while heavier runs hold a straighter line and tolerate upwind shots. As the disc seasons, the turn deepens and fade softens, transforming the Valkyrie into an excellent long-range turnover tool and a dependable roller. Premium Innova plastics such as Star and Champion preserve the original flight characteristics longest, keeping the disc usable as a controlled turnover driver, while baseline DX and Pro break in faster and migrate quickly toward a flippier, more understable profile favored for anhyzer shaping.

Plast: Star: Star is Innova's flagship premium blend, combining the long-haul durability of Champion with grip closer to the Pro family. Star discs share the same flight characteristics as their Champion counterparts but feel slightly less firm in the hand, which suits players who want premium flight retention without the slick rim. The blend resists dome change and rim damage well over hundreds of throws, and many Star molds are available for custom hot stamping. As a premium plastic, Star holds its listed flight numbers far longer than baseline blends, which season faster within a few weeks of regular play into deeper turn and softer, earlier fade.
