The Innova Roadrunner is a very understable long-range fairway/distance driver (9/5/-4/1) with lots of glide, designed as a finesse driver and one of the best dedicated turnover and roller discs in the lineup. With a deep -4 turn and only a 1 fade, it flips easily out of the hand for power throwers, holding extended anhyzer lines and converting cleanly into long rollers, while less powerful players can use it for straight tunnel shots and easy distance. As the disc wears, the turn deepens further and the fade nearly disappears, making it even more flippy and an excellent dedicated roller candidate, but less suited to neutral lines. The Star Roadrunner is the signature disc of 2018 World Champion Gregg Barsby. Innova premium plastics such as Star and Champion hold the listed flight numbers longest, while baseline DX and Pro season faster toward a fully understable roller profile.
Plast: Star: Star is Innova's flagship premium blend, combining the long-haul durability of Champion with grip closer to the Pro family. Star discs share the same flight characteristics as their Champion counterparts but feel slightly less firm in the hand, which suits players who want premium flight retention without the slick rim. The blend resists dome change and rim damage well over hundreds of throws, and many Star molds are available for custom hot stamping. As a premium plastic, Star holds its listed flight numbers far longer than baseline blends, which season faster within a few weeks of regular play into deeper turn and softer, earlier fade.
