About the Järn

The Järn by Kastaplast fills a special role in your bag—designed to execute when the pressure is on. With flight numbers Speed 4.5, Glide 3.0, Turn 0.0, and Fade 3.0, this midrange offers a flight pattern suited for intermediate and advanced players. Not afraid of wind, this disc wraps up its flight with dependable stability. You’ll love it off the tee—or as a reliable option for second shots.

The plastic: K3

K3 Plastic: Kastaplast’s base-line plastic, grippy in all weather conditions and quickly breaks in.

How it flies now

Condition 6. Seasoned. Thrown many rounds, scratches and minor rim dings, but in fully good shape. This is where it has settled: less fade, more glide, and on a flat release it goes straight where a new one would have hyzered out. Järn is seriously overstable with fade in reserve: seasoning softens the hyzer a little, but it never stops finishing.

About used discs

A disc seasons as it gets thrown. The rim wears, the fade softens and the disc flies straighter than its flight numbers say. Premium plastic holds its shape for a long time, base plastic seasons in a few rounds, and an overstable disc takes it better than an understable one.
