The Discraft Buzzz SS is a midrange with flight numbers 5/4/-2/1, placing it in the understable category thanks to a clear -2 turn balanced by a soft 1-point fade. From the hand it tracks long, easy turnover lines and is well suited to anhyzer shots, tailwind drives and gentle s-curves without fighting back to a hard fade. The minimal finishing fade keeps the flight landing relatively flat, which extends usable distance and makes it approachable for slower arm speeds and technical gap shots. As the disc seasons, the turn deepens further and the fade softens, gradually pushing it toward a flippy midrange and eventual roller candidate. Discraft premium plastics such as Z, Big Z, ESP and FLX hold the listed 5/4/-2/1 flight longest, while baseline plastics like Pro D and X season faster toward an even more understable, roller-friendly feel.

Plast: ESP: Discraft ESP is a premium opaque blend with a slightly soft, tacky surface and rich, often swirled coloration. It splits the difference between the harder Z line and the grippier Big Z, making it a versatile home for fairway drivers, midranges, and putters that benefit from a confident hand feel without sacrificing durability. ESP holds shape well through tree contact and gradually beats in to a more controllable flight rather than going badly out of true. Stamp work tends to look painterly on the swirled base. Premium plastics like ESP hold listed flight numbers far longer, while baseline plastics deepen turn and soften fade within weeks. Discraft FLX is a flexible-blend modifier applied to a Discraft base plastic (commonly Z or ESP), producing a more pliable, weather-resistant disc that grips well in cold or wet conditions. FLX is not its own plastic family but a modified version of an existing blend. As a blend-changing modifier it inherits the wear behavior and flight of the base plastic it's built on — flight follows the underlying mold and base, so the disc flies to the same numbers, with the flexibility mainly changing feel, grip and ground contact rather than turn or fade. On the second-hand market FLX sells in line with its base plastic, holding value well when built on durable bases like Z, with price tracking condition. Because durability follows the base, the disc seasons in over time at the same rate as its parent plastic; the added flex does not make it beat in faster.
